Georgio's is definately the place to stop if you're looking for a nice little room, clean & cheap with great service. Its a 2nd floor apartment, spacious w/ two bathrooms (we never had to que for the shower despite other guests staying there) & the breakfast is a great bonus and as good as you'll find anywhere else in Palermo. The city itself is nice, tho a little run down & dirty in some parts. However, Georgio is the man to recommend some of the brighter attractions. He took us out for a great meal & mini tour of the sites in the evening. However, if you're not into the tour guide thing, he's happy just to give you some helpful advice & let you get on with your own thing.Stay with Georgio, you won't be sorry. Then head out to the small island of Lipari coz its the best little place in Sicily, ciao :-)

After spending over a week driving around Sicily, my bfriend and I had our last few days in Palermo at Giorgio's House. Being in our late 30's, I was concerned that it was going to be a "youth hostel" and we would be surrounded by young gregarious travelers with back-packs. Not the case. Everyone (of all ages) we met were very friendly and because of Giorgio's Night Tours (free) the guests got to know each other quickly and we all went out for dinner.drinx after the tour. Never a line for the bathroom, rooms clean, simple and big, and the breakfast was delish. The area looks a little rough, but it's in the thick of the city and easy to walk to other parts of the city. Giorgio goes above and beyond to make everyones stay comfortable. We really felt like we were staying with a friend! It was sad to leave our little family in the end. Giorgio is a gem!

My husband and I stayed at Giorgios`House March 19th for 5 nights. I found the B&B online and everything was wonderful! (fantastic breakfast "the whole day long"; nice rooms; very, very friendly other guests ("friends"); the great service of Giorgio with the funny "Palermo by night" tours for free; the central "B&B"position in town with friendly prices; sunny weather, nice excursions (Cefalu and Scopello was great.....)...And last, but not least, I celebrated my wonderful birthday at "Giorgios`" with a bottle of Champagne, a very good tasted Birthday-cake with a candle...and it was all a gift of Giorgio!!!Giorgio, mille grazie per tutto!!! We`ll keep in touch...

My husband and I started our Sicily trip in Palermo by flying in and taking the city train. Giorgio met us on time and drove us the few blocks to the B and B. It is very conveniently located and is in walking distance of so many interesting sites. We settled in easily; the place is comfortable, clean, and was neatly made up with even a little candy on the bed. Breakfast was delicious with pastry from the bakery downstairs. We went on a group dinner and after-dinner stroll throughout the city. This was a very nice way to meet the other guests and also to experience some of the city with a resident. We also ended our trip in Palermo and that was a good idea as it is so easy to walk to the train station to get back to the airport. I would recomment Giorgio's House to any traveler. It is reasonably priced for an added plus.

All of the reviews are true! Giorgio is the most hospitable, friendly and fun host. He really made our trip much more than just a city break. Giorgio showed us a wonderful day out to nearby Castelbuono and Cefalu, plus an evening walking tour of Palermo at night - all at no extra charge. And we couldn't believe the pastry selection at breakfast! Plus, he seems to attract a lovely clientele - we made some new friends there during our stay, and it felt like we were leaving a little family when it was time to go home. As for practicalities, the apartment is located within a very easy walk to all of Palermo's main attractions, plus an enormous and exciting fresh food market is just down the street. We can't wait to go back. Grazie mille, Giorgio.

This place is 100% fantastic:- very central, easy walking distance from everything- very clean- incredible value- a real Sicilian house, where you get a proper Sicilian welcome, and Sicilian breakfast (very important!)- Giorgio is possibly the friendliest guy in the country, and will pick you up at the station, and, if you want him to, take you out, show you the sights, restaurants, pubs, plus he speaks English...Can't reccomend it enough!Patrick
