to stay at Giorgios House was a big pleasure.His house is in the centre of Palermo, the house is clean and Giorgio is the best host in the world. He ist very funny, kind and shows you the best places in town. Don´t miss it!

I stayed at Giorgio´s House with my wife and our two daughters of 10 and 12 for 4 nights. Browsing the reviews before booking I thought that Giorgio´s might be more of a "young single" thing but the opinions were so great I decided to give him a call nevertheless. I´m glad I did. Not only he convinced me my assumption was wrong on the phone but he demonstrated it during our stay as well, taking our children in due consideration and always ready to joke with them. About Giorgio, a lot of good has been said already and I can only confirm it. I shall confirm that I was really impressed by his honesty, openness and willingness to help. As for the place, I would add a remark about the very good location (5 min. on foot from the Cathedral and Palazzo dei Normanni) and the ease with which people who come by car can find a parking place.In conclusion, if you´re used to five star hotels this is not the place for you but if you´re looking for a clean, well located and excellent value for money place Giorgio´s House is the place I would reccomend. And by the way, Giorgio´s genuine interest in showing you, or directing you to, the best his city and his region has to offer his really a great value added.

We stayed only one night at Giorgio's, but our stay couldn't have been nicer. Giorgio is the perfect host: kind, helpful and he has a great sense of humor! The B&B is very close to the main attractions of Palermo and our room was very big and comfortable.

We stayed 5 nights at Giorgio's during the very hot first week in August. Giorgio picked us up from the train station - a very kind gesture, typical of his treatment of people - and then invited us to make ourselves at home at his place. Everything is spotless - Giorgio spends time every day cleaning, mopping, etc.. Accommodations are comfortable - spacious rooms and bathrooms, a central sitting area, a fridge, and he is located very close to the historical centre of town as well as an excellent food market. Breakfast always consisted of a selection of fresh, yummy pastrys (he went out every morning to pick these up) and Sicilian specialties (and good coffee). These things are important, but it is really Giorgio himself who makes this such a great place to stay. Giorgio went out of his way to provide directions and suggestions - places to shop, visit, eat. Giorgio is very generous with his time, and has a genuine enthusiasm for sharing the sights in the Palermo area. He took us out on a couple of fabulous trips - places we probably wouldn't have seen on our own. I mentioned that I wanted to purchase some coffee so Giorgio made a special trip with me to show me where I should shop. I can't say enough good things about Giorgio and his warmth, kindness and generosity - thanks Giorgio!

We really loved Giorgio's house. Giorgio was so kind and picked us up from the boat dock. He also served breakfast together to everyone staying there so we were able to form friendships with other guests. One night we all went out to dinner together with Giorgio, and he showed us around town. The B & B is very conveniently located, only a short walk from the center of town. There is no air conditioning, which was fine while we were there, but could be bad in a heat wave.

Georgio really couldn't do anymore to make our stay in Palermo more enjoyable from picking us up from the car hire place to making us a packed lunch to take to the beach (without being asked to)! Nothing ever seemed like too much trouble & he does everything with a smile :-)

Giorgio's house is excellent! The place is ok, but the best thing is definitely the friendly atmosphere. If you're looking for a place where you can feel yourself at home, where you can meet people, chat, hang around with them feeling like you know them since ages, that's that place. Moreover should you need anything Giorgio is always there, very kind and helpful. He picks you up at the station, he drives you around the city, he organizes tours and trips, he protects you from stray dogs and so on.Hard to imagine a best place to stay in Palermo.
