We stayed three nights in july in Palermo,We came by ferry overnight and Giorgio picked us up at 7 in the morning so that was great already. The house has 4 rooms i think and our room was good. And so was the breakfast. For 2 nights Giorgio went with us and 6-7 other guests to eat and to see Palermo at night. It were 2 great nights. Giorgio told us things about Palermo and its buildings and history and the restaurants were good and we had a lot of fun.Marijn and Geertje from Holland

it's hard to imagine any other place to stay when in palermo. giorgio's house is in a great location - just 2 blocks from the center of the city - and you can't beat the price.the room we stayed in was really spacious. we couldn't ask more for comfort. and we agree with what others said that although we had to share a bathroom, we did not wait at all. the bathrooms were also quite spacious.the breakfast was really filling and was composed of the best pastries and coffee we had during our stay in italy! :)when here, make sure you hop to monreale, just 15 minutes away by bus (take the 389 from the piazza indipendienzia and head south). our best excursions were with giorgio who took us to cefalu and a beautiful small medieval town, castelbuono.if giorgio is any indication of what palermo and its people are like, then it's a fantastic place indeed. thanks giorgio!april and joanna from manila

Giorgio's House was brilliant. Palermo seems like a big mean city, but Giorgio makes you feel right at home and gives you an orientation to the city that instantly makes you comfortable. He took us to a great restaurant and advised us on where to go for night life, etc. He goes out of his way for his guests and the rooms are quite inexpensive. If you sleep through breakfast he leaves a note for you and leaves the breakfast food available to you - Sicilian pastries are incredible! It's a great place to stay for pairs or groups that have been travelling together for a while, but want to meet new people. I will go back to Palermo as we didn't get a chance to see everything and I will stay with Giorgio next time!

My friend and I spent 3 nights at Giorgio's House - he picked us up from the train station when we arrived! Great place to stay - wonderful location. Very clean and room was fantastic. A little noisy at night but ear plugs fixed that.Giorgio was very helpful and took us to Mt Etna. Be VERY specific where you want to go if you are with Giorgio - you might end up on an adventure hike through the bush! But still great and stopped A LOT on the way back for photo opportunities. Went to Cefalu for the day on the train - absolutely beautiful and would go back and stay there a few days too. I highly reccommend Giorgio's House!!!Ciao Giorgio!

My friend and I decided to have a weekend break and so went to Palermo between Friday 06/10/06 to monday 09/10/06. When I saw the prices and the reviews I though this is to good to be true and was a little worried. However when i got there i was glad to see the reviews were all true. The place is such a nice and clean place to stay and as for Giorgio, well he is just such a friendly and fantastic host. He made breakfast for us and also took us for a cool tour and fantastic dinner in our first evening at palermo. It was also nice to meet other people staying at Giorgios house. Trust me if you go to Palermo go to Giorgios house. Its well worth it!

I stayed 3 nights at Giorgio's House and had a wonderful time. Giorgio picked me up from the train station and drove me to the house. He's very friendly and is the reason why so many people (including myself) have a great experience in Palermo.
My room was clean and the bed comfortable. I also had a balcony where I could go outside if I wanted to. The area is a little bit noisy but it calms down late at night so I didn't have a problem sleeping. The bathrooms are huge and really clean. Be careful in the front one though because I locked myself in - you just have to get the hang of using the skeleton key! The water temperture was perfect too.Breakfast consisted of coffee, juice, various pastries including ones filled with ricotta which were delicious. There is a great collection of books and information about Sicily and Palermo (in English, Japanese, French and Italian) and also a huge collection of DVDs for guests to watch!Everyday I was greeted by a note from Giorgio telling me what the evening activity would be. He took us to dinner and then to see Palermo at night. And the next night he took us to a rustic restaurant so we could be Sicilians. Giorgio goes above and beyond for his guests and I had a great stay. Palermo is an intense and intimidating city and Giorgio puts you at ease right away and you are able to enjoy what this amazing city has to offer.

My partner and I enjoyed our stay. Georgio gave us a warm welcome and an excellent orientation to the city. The restaurant he took us to was fantastic and we enjoyed many meals there. Our visit would not have been as enjoyable had we not stayed there. Ian and Douglas from Auckland New Zealand
