We highly recommend this B&B because it is a real opportunity to meet a real Palermitan guy and to visit this terrific city from an excellent location. Giorgio is very friendly and cares a lot about his B&B. He was very kind and helpful and gave us many suggestions about the city, travel arrangements, etc...Plus he took us to dinner with the other guests so we had the chance to spend the evening with other travelers, it was fun. Our room was comfortable and clean as well as the toilet. Breakfast with Sicilian croissants. The house is located in a very convenient central area: 10 mins walking from some of the most interesting monuments (Cathedral, Palazzo Normanno,...). But it can be a bit noisy in the night.

From Giorgio's initial response to our booking query, everything was as arranged, nothing too much trouble. Giorgio was waiting at the station when we arrived, advised on a nearby restaurant (2 mins. walk) for a late meal, and made sure we knew our way around. Highlights were the long breakfast conversations with other guests of varied ages and backgrounds (we are early 60s working lecturers), the breakfasts themselves with local specialities, both savoury and sweet, the guided evening walk and pizza trip, the spacious bedroom and, of course, the experience of vibrant Palermo. Yes, you share two bathrooms with up to about 6 ohers but we never had to wait, and the water was always as hot as you could want. The kitchen fridge also let you have lunch 'at home' if you needed to rest. For independent travellers of any age with a limited budget, and perhaps particularly for single people wanting company to explore the city, Giorgio's is ideal

=> we spent only 3 days in giorgio's house and that was enought to fall in love with its host: Giorgio, and to fall in love with Palermo.=> first of all, we were welcome by himself at the train station: he was very nice, wellcoming and helpfull: he really wants you to have a perfect trip=> anything you need he helps you to find it, you can ask him any information, he is the best host I have ever seen.=> the bed and breakfast is a big, nice and confortable appartment in the center of the town, two minutes from the old city.everything was cleaned and ready for each of us: a little candy for wellcoming, the key of the room, the map of Palermo and towels, everything well tidied on our bed.=> the breakfast was GIGANTOUS: a lot of good pastries, orange juce and coffee as much as you need, but there is quiet enought food laing on the table!!!and for the breakfast, Giorgio wakes up early every morning to prepare it and he is here sitting on the table with you to ask you what are you doing today, he explains you where and how to go where you want to go, and may go with you if you want it and if you are nice!=>he is a good guide and every night he proposes to you to have diner with you to discover good food and palermo by night.=> i advice you to follow him: he has a lot of motivation and he is very funny.WE REALLY ENJOYED THIS TRIP and palermo wouldn't have been so nice if GIORGIO DID NOT EXIST;

This is just one amazing B&B! I have never stayed in a B&B which gives so much for so little. I am a woman travelling alone and Giorgioshouse in Palermo was just perfect for me. There was the free pick uo on my arrival, then I got a spacious, clean room. Sure, no room has a private bathroom but there was never any question on having to wait to enter or there not being eough hot water. The breakfast was plenty, lots of delicious Sicilian pastries (Giorgio even bought a special one for me :-) ) , coffee, tea, juice.. and of course Giorgio's company! He actually sits down with his guests during breakfast, participates, give lots of advice on where to go and what to see and make sure that all his guests get to know each other and have a great time. Then there are the free tours he offers. When I was there I went on the guided tour around Palermo. It was fun hearing, and seeing Giorgio showing us his city, to which he seems to nurture a love-hate relationship. The B&B is located in the Ballarò area. It is not the most elegant area to stay in, but it is surely authentic, lively and colorful. The market is absolutely not to be missed! There is street noise but a pair of ear plugs resolves that question.It is not a place to stay if you want luxury surroundings but if you're after a true sicilian experience and fantastic hospitality Giorgioshouse is it!!!

We had only two nights at Giorgio's house but it was as if we spent a whole week in Palermo, because we made a lot of things thank to the host : he made us discover the city and showed us many places that we would not have seen otherwise, and that always with the smile !The Bed and Breakfast is pleasant, located near the historical center of Palermo, the rooms are comfortable and clean.The welcome and the dynamism of Giorgio make this B&B an unique place to stop at Palermo.

Giorgio's was all the good things that TripAdvisor reviewers suggested. Giorgio has the personality to make Palermo unforgettable, and he was scrupulously honest and honourable in his dealing with us. His dedication to the running of this characterful guest house was palpable. The house has a slight air of decayed grandeur, very clean, access a little convoluted, breakfasts justifiably legendary. Take Giorgio's tour of Palermo,offered gratis,and see the transformation of the host from world-weary humanitarian philosopher to impish leprechaun. Five minutes walk to town. You're not in the most salubrious street in the world, but you may be treated ,as we were, to a ballet of nefarious dealing on the street two floors below your window. Sicily as you hoped it might be.
