PALERMO: Alternative Trekking to :Nature Reserve of Zingaro

Wow...what a great day trip yesterday. We went trekking to the nature Reserve of Zingaro...honestly our Guests were a little bit lazy so they preferred a relaxing day in the town....pity cause if they joined us they could see something that really few people had seen.  In fact we did the Alternative trekking circuit. This trek is the longest of the Nature Reserve of Zingaro and is the less known. Pity cause it's really wonderful. The environment changes every 5 Km and the Panoramas are fantastic. Only 0.01% of the visitor of the Nature Reserve of Zingaro (Riserva Naturale dello Zingaro) does this trek. That's really a shame cause in this way nobody can know it. This is the reason we decided to make a small movie that anyway cannot show all the beauty of this hike.  This is the trek we did...the green line is our walk.    It was a little bit too warm (around 26 C°) so not great to walk but on the top of the hill with the wind it was much better. 3 liters of water per each, 2 super sandwiches and go! :o)  The pleasure to walk by yourself. Far from the caos of city, far from the traffic far from the problems. You are alone...just you and the nature...sometimes you meet some birds, or some horses and then you are alone again. The panoramas "speaks" loud with your soul and your heart...      After around 14 km we got the small tower of the firemen... from there you can see all the gulf of San Vito and finally we met the only person there. He was very surprised to see someone...he told us that this year nobody had done that trekking circuit yet...  After a short and nice conversation, we went away and finally we got back.  If you can and if you are well trained, do it...you'll like this trek.    posted by  blog.giorgioshouse.com [21/09/2009 12:18]
