PALERMO: USTICA Island
Wow....the weather in Palermo is very beautiful in these days...Sunny and 24/26 C°...so we decided to go to make a nice walk thru the nature. We decided to go not too far from Palermo. The place is called Pizzo Cane. I have never been there as well so it could be a good new experience. We took our car and we went!!
The place is very well organized. At the beginning of the walk there are at least 10 big Barbecues that you can use for free to grill the meat and there are a lot of tables in wood too where you can eat under the trees!...Next time we should do it! :o)

The beginning of the walk is next to the wood but after the first gate it become steeper. We got up and up....wow what a fantastic Panorama. We could see the Lake Rosa Marina and above the very nice Village of Caccamo.

The official founding of Caccamo was not until 1093, when the Normans began building the castle on a rocky spur overlooking a cliff. The most characteristic monument in Caccamo is, without any doubt, the Castle, which towers majestically above a sheer-dropping rock. Among its monuments there is a Norman Cathedral, consecrated to the town's patron St. Giorgio martyr.
In the handicraft field it is industrious the wood-work, wrought iron-work and baked clay work as well as typical local needle-works.
Then we continued our beautiful hike...up and up till we could see the big hug of the clouds to the mountains down! :o) So beautiful

When we got the top (what a great panorama) we had our picnic and we took the sun for hald hour. Then...very happy we came back to our car and we got back home! :o)
